Was going to tell you that it's Bailey's house too, but Admin beat me to it! Think it's her husbands' bathroom? She has a great blog too. Have a great day!
Hi A-M, I'm in New York this week sourcing bathrooms and other interior inspiration, so loved seeing this image! Unfortunately, I don't think we'll be able to afford this space. That screen is reeeaaalllly expensive. As in... sell your children expensive! I photographed one in a Hamptons beach house last year and the architect, Steve Schappacher, admitted they were gaspingly dear. But if you find a cheap version, let me know! Have missed your blog while we've been away, so lovely to catch up on it now. Janelle McCulloch
Funny how different people look at things .. it didn't occur to me how hard it would be to clean. I just adore it so much I could live with the pain of cleaning it. Oh, to dream. And, I do covet that light as well.
This looks like a bathroom that Tommy Smythe would have in his house. You know, the guy on Sarah's House on HGTV? He had that AWESOME black and white kitchen I am still drooling over. LOVE this bathroom. Just wanted to let you know that you inspried me to sign up my boy for guitar lessons. He had is first one tonight and he and I are so proud. Thanks, Heidi
I love this bathroom and have noted everyone's concerns re.cleaning so thought I'd let you in on a little secret. If you wash with liquid soap you don't get any soap build up like you do with bar soap. If you have a brand new bathroom wipe over the glass first with with methylated spirits and then only ever wash yourself with liquid soap and your bathroom will always look clean and you'll only need to clean it half as much as you do now.
Hi A-M. I have recently purchased a natural coloured Belgian linen bedhead and wonder if you can advise on keeping it clean? Should I 'scotch-guard' it? Any suggestions appreciated. x KL
I agree with Leston. We had our bathroom renovation finished about 2 months ago. Only use liquid soap. Also wipe down the tiles (subway A-M!) with an old cloth nappy every second day. Haven't had to do a shower clean yet! Whoo hoo! Oh, and A-M, I have the same mirrors you used in your main bathroom. Thank you for the inspiration.
Another thought... if the inside shower side was full glass (easy for cleaning) anf the outside was glued on faux panels as they do with windows this could work aesthetically ands practically! x KL
This is where I muse about home design, interiors, my life, my boys and stuff that sort of stops my heart. I have an online store full of my favourite Hamptons style lighting over at www.capecoddesigns.com.au ... and ... I'm currently planning my next house build.
Love! So different.

ReplyDeleteI hate water stains. MrB and I squeegee our shower screen after each use. But the bars on your pretty shower would take soooo long to do this ...
